Hi people,
I found this in the bottom of one of my cupboards and as I no longer use it for DJing I decided to use it on my chair. Looks funny following the chair round haha

Its called a Lasercrab which is just a little crappy DJ laser you can get them for about £15 if you shop about.

At the moment its powered by x4 AA batteries but also has a mains adaptor. At some point I want to get it converted to 12v

It would be useful running @ 12v so you don't need to keep replacing batteries.

The past few days I have been busy building a new switch panel which instead of just having a switch on for the UFO kit, this one now has 2 switches (One for UFO and 1 for Laser when I wire it up again)

Then to make it look even better Ive made it so the IR Display for the UFO kit pops out at an angle. All matching in blue LEDs :)

Looking good! You could use a 7806 (1A, 6V) regulator from Maplin AW69A (TS7806CZ) or even a 7805 (1A, 5V - much more common, Laser should be fine at 5V))

When I have the cash I plan on getting one of these http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=228639

But not from maplins as they are like half price on eGay

This is the housing for all the extra wiring. It has a ICELED Tron in to make it glow and slowly changes colour. I havent wired it to the UFO as I just wanted it to slowly go through the colours instead of flash. The bungie strap is just short term till I get some glue to glue it in place.

This is the new control box with 2 switches (one for the UFO kit and the other for the laser which is still to be wired up) Then at the bottom has the sensor and display for the UFO which has a special blue display to match the rest. Ive run out of lighting for this so need to find a ICELED Gem to fit inside to make it glow
