i dont know about external....but i like the round shaped idea....as awesome and neat as the little cubeish thing is,,, u do have to be in a pretty direct line to it...it would be cool to have some sort of 360 degree reception so u can be anywhere around the car not just (for me) the drivers window/ small part of the windsheild
