Hi people,
I found this in the bottom of one of my cupboards and as I no longer use it for DJing I decided to use it on my chair. Looks funny following the chair round haha

The past few days I have been busy building a new switch panel which instead of just having a switch on for the UFO kit, this one now has 2 switches (One for UFO and 1 for Laser when I wire it up again)

Then to make it look even better Ive made it so the IR Display for the UFO kit pops out at an angle. All matching in blue LEDs :)

Looking good! You could use a 7806 (1A, 6V) regulator from Maplin AW69A (TS7806CZ) or even a 7805 (1A, 5V - much more common, Laser should be fine at 5V))

This is the housing for all the extra wiring. It has a ICELED Tron in to make it glow and slowly changes colour. I havent wired it to the UFO as I just wanted it to slowly go through the colours instead of flash. The bungie strap is just short term till I get some glue to glue it in place.

This is the new control box with 2 switches (one for the UFO kit and the other for the laser which is still to be wired up) Then at the bottom has the sensor and display for the UFO which has a special blue display to match the rest. Ive run out of lighting for this so need to find a ICELED Gem to fit inside to make it glow

Getting my wheelchair ready for the Birmingham NEC Motor Show after receiving some tubes and a gem back from ICELED which I sent to be checked out. I'm having to rewire the while lot as I recently had to take it all off due to the NHS doing a check-up on the chair.

Sofar I've fitted x2 of the 1ft tubes, x2 floods and my scanner. I've also bought x2 new switches which light up differently as the other ones I had fitted kept blinding people walking behind me hahaha. I'm not sure about the rear flood though but there isnt anywhere else for it to go (its a little too close to the floor so produces more of a spot than a flood hahaha). I think it will look better though when I buy a 4th tube to go on the rear

Thanks to The Solarv Centre the battery for the lights is now Solar Powered :) they have sent me a nice 10w panel which fits nicely on the back. Ideally I need to get another 1ft tube to shine out from under it as that area looks a little dark.

Sofar I have fitted:-
x3 1ft tubes
x2 floods
x1 tron
x1 gem
x1 scanner

Today I've upgraded 2 of the 1ft tubes and the gem that lights the control box. The new gem gives a better spread of light than the original. Also thanks to the new lights the colour now flows all the way round the chair leaving no shadows. Apart from under the batteries

Great! As you have discovered, all the new light sources give better results all round. :D
